I really enjoyed painting Albert the Kudu Bull Antelope and he quickly became a favorite of my daughter who named him Albert. I should point out that my daughter is a fully grown adult with her own children and since she was a little girl she has named everything, even shopping receipts! so she gets all credit for his name that suits him perfectly in my opinion. These antelopes are found throughout eastern and southern Africa, however they are sparsely populated in most areas due to declining habitat, deforestation and poaching.
The bird is a white crested laughing thrush found in the Himalayan foothills of Southeast Asia and together they sit with this beautiful strong woman.
