Stunning original acrylic mixed media painting on 10x10x1.5" wrapped canvas ready to hang with a wire on the back.
I love bumble bee's and their lovely round bodies! It has often been said that bumblebees defy aerodynamics and should not be able to fly, but they do and they spend their time pollinating flowers. Bumblebees are some of the most social creatures in the animal kingdom and they live in colonies. The queen rules the colony. The other bees serve her or gather food or care for developing larvae. During the late fall, the entire colony dies, except for the queen. She hibernates during the winter months underground and starts a new colony in the spring. Sugary nectar provides the bees with energy while the pollen provides them with protein, according to The Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
What an amazing little creature!
