This unique collection of beautiful journals, containg 39 pages of heavy, vintage white paper, feature cover paintings by Artist Emma Greenhill and poetry, on the opening page,by Jenny Noble Anderson. All other pages are blank for your imagination to go wild, sketch, scribble and write. Emma and Jenny's journals are a sneak peek of their upcoming book, But Still She Flies (Coming Fall 2020), and resulted from a collaborative art show in Jacksonville, FL.
When Artist Emma Greenhill & Poet Jenny Noble Anderson had the opportunity to collaborate for a 2019 art show called "Birds," the creative sparks flew. The threads that tied their work together were undeniable and it quickly became apparent that the seeds for their book But Still She Flies had been planted.
With rich colors and a refreshing touch of whimsy, Emma's paintings feel like invitations into the souls of women. Her ability to capture both strength and vulnerability in her work captivates viewers while offering a generous glimpse into the artist's inner-landscape.
Jenny believes in the healing power of words and has embraced poetry as a tool for personal transformation, her poetic endeavors, and in her work as a licensed therapist. Drawing heavily on images from the natural world, Jenny invites readers to view struggles as pathways to light.
As a prelude to the Fall 2020 release of their book, But Still She Flies, Emma and Jenny have created these beautiful journals. Each journal features cover art by Emma and an accompanying poem by Jenny. The themes embodied by this collection are inner-strength, overcoming adversity, the value of support systems, and a deep, spiritual connection to the natural world.
