Swallows have many different meanings linked to them but my favorite has to be the symbol of love, care and affection towards family members that they are known for.

Another trait of the swallow symbolism is its gracefulness. These birds move in fluid motion in their air due to their adeptness in flying giving them a beautiful graceful movement that is wonderful to watch.

Dreadlocks date way back to the Minoan Civilization, which centered in Crete, Greece. Frescoes discovered on the Aegean island of Thera (modern Santorini, Greece) depict individuals with long dreadlocks. Art has been found in ancient Egypt, the Far East, Asia Minor, Caucasus, East Mediterranean and North Africa suggesting dreadlocks were a part of their culture and mummies have been recovered in Egypt showing their dreadlocks still in tact!

Regardless of their origin, dreadlocks have been worn by nearly every culture at some point. There are even suggestions to show that Samson from the book of Judges wore dreadlocks, having seven locks of hair that gave him his mighty strength.
